Hi! So, a little more about me.

I grew up in a small town on the wide open plains of Southern Alberta, Canada. I am the 3rd of 4 children, and am super close with all of my siblings to this day. As soon as I graduated high school, I was off to another small town in southeastern Idaho to get started with college at BYU-Idaho. After 1 year of general studies, I took 9 months off to live the glamorous life of a concrete construction worker, which taught me to go to school and work hard so I wouldn't have to do that the rest of my life.

I served a mission for the LDS church, where I spent 2 years in Northeastern France learning the language, teaching and helping the people there, and managing and leading other missionaries.

When I returned home, I jumped straight back into school and discovered the communications department at university where I found my love for the visual arts of photography and graphic design.

Shortly after getting married, my wife & I decided to take the leap and commit to starting our own photography business and move to New England. I finished the last year of my studies where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communications, with minors in graphic design & photography, and dove head first into photography.

In 2010, we had our first child, Christopher, followed by Jane in 2012 and Nora in 2016. Balancing full-time self employment with 3 kids has been an enormous challenge that has forced me to work harder and longer than I ever thought I could. My wife Rebecca stepped away from the business back in 2014 to be home with the kids, which meant that I had to completely take over, shooting double and triple header wedding weekends, 8 weddings in a single month one year, and editing photos until 1 o'clock in the morning most days during the summer to keep up with work. Not to mention keeping up with taxes, accounting, web maintenance, emails, new clients, publication requests, album designs, portrait sessions, instagram, marketing, and the list goes on and on.

For 9 years I photographed weddings, portraits, and families all across New England and New York, with a few odd jobs taking me across the United States and beyond. I have photographed weddings at multi-million dollar residences, private beaches, swanky country clubs, tops of mountains, and everything in between. It was filled with incredible experiences with incredible people, and I don't forget how lucky I was.

Almost 2 years ago, we decided it was time for another change. An even bigger change. To pack up and move back across the country, but this time with 3 kids, a dog, a cat, and a much larger moving van. I got a job doing a mix of graphic design with some photography sprinkled in for The Younique Foundation. I have grown, developed, learned a lot about design, myself, and others. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience filled with some of the most talented, giving, and passionate people I've ever met. It has solidified my passion for clear communication in design, and helped me feel so much fulfillment through work.
